Why does my build run in my toolchain time out?

Why does my build run in my toolchain time out?

After you create a toolchain for your app or job, your build does not complete successfully and you receive a message that the build run did not complete before timeout.

Your build run is taking longer than the timeout value that is set in your toolchain. The default build run timeout value is 1200 seconds.

You can resolve this issue by editing your environment properties in your toolchain pipeline.

  1. Open the Overview page for your toolchain.

  2. Under Delivery pipelines, open your ci-pipeline.

  3. Click Environment properties.

  4. Edit one of these fields:

    • build-timeout: The amount of time, in seconds, that can pass before the build run must succeed or fail. The default is 1200 seconds.
    • build-size: The size to use for the build, which determines the amount of resources used. Valid values include small, medium, large, xlarge, and xxlarge. The default is large. You can speed up your build run by setting the size to a larger value. For more information, see Determine the size of the build.

You can search for build- to see all build-related properties.
